Its offical, I have my own site

Welcome back! This week is our final week of class and we explored Google Sites!

I'm so excited about this resource and how it can enhance anybodies classroom. 

First off lets learn a bit about Google Sites and just what exactly it is. Watch this video here. 

As a high school teacher I could use this resource for several different purposes. I could create a site for my classroom, for my parents, for my department, etc. 

My google site I created will be used for students if they are absent for any reason. It has resources like video tutorials that they may have missed, documents they can print off, even a calendar to let them know what we did in class and when.

As a teacher who teaches in a diverse school with students who have different needs this could be a great resource for my students and help streamline absences and getting students back on track. 

As this class comes to a close I'm a bit sad. I really enjoyed learning more than I ever thought about Google and its suite of apps, websites, and extensions. I also really enjoyed sharing my journey with you and how I plan on using these new tools in my classroom. As time goes technology will continue to improve and give us teachers tools to improve our classrooms. I love being a student and always challenging myself. I hope you learned a little something and were inspired to continue your technology education to either better your life or your classroom.
