Bittersweet End
Hello! Welcome back!
Are you ready for some more technology tips? I've got one for ya and then a little a friendly farewell.
Yes, this will be my last post for a while. Why? Well, first, it's summer and my course where I'm learning all of these wonderful tips and tricks is coming to an end. Along with my degree as well.
Oh yea, I'm on the verge of wrapping up my Master of Arts in Education! Yahoo!
I can't tell you how excited I am not only to close this book and feel accomplished but to have a bit more free time in life.
Anyways lets talk tech and then we can get to ooey gooey stuff at the end.
This week I want to talk about Google searches. I've touched on this in previous posts but want to share my new tip I think would be helpful in your classroom.
Searching for any file type with Google. Yes, any file type.
Below I've added a screenshot of my info slide I created for a short how to.
So basically if your looking for a lesson plan, worksheet, presentation on any topic because you ain't got the time to whip one up for class tomorrow. Try searching Google! I couldn't believe what I found and then I just felt silly for always re-create the wheel (as one might say) over and over again.
As this course came to an end we were asked to create an informational presentation over one of the websites or tools we learned over the last seven weeks. I chose Symbaloo because I feel like it fit into my classroom so easily. My next thought was should I create a presentation for my students or for my co-workers? I feel like I make things for my students a lot in classes such these so I switched it up and made it for teachers.
Check it out here!
If you read my post on Symbaloo and felt overwhelmed please feel free to use my Adobe Spark Page to help you through making your Symbaloo. It really is easy and could totally change your classroom!
Also if you find that your department or co-workers could benefit from the presentation use it to help them get started as well.
Don't forget to check out the YouTube account for Symbaloo. It has a ton of great tutorials along with ways you can expand your webmixes and learning paths.
Well it's time to say see ya later. I've had tons of fun sharing my learning with you and exploring the world of blogging. I myself follow bloggers and always wondered if I had a knack for it. Growing up I was terrible at writing and still struggle with formal writing. But I have to say writing from my heart and sharing information that could help fellow educators is fun and empowering!
I hope along the way you found great information and some inspiration for your classroom.

Keep learning out there. I might be back soon. 💕
